Privacy Policy for Imagine Book
Effective date: November 1, 2026
This policy covers the Imagine Book iOS/iPadOS app. The developer’s public website may separately use analytics or advertising pixels (for example Google or Meta). Website processing is not the same as processing inside the Imagine Book app.
1. Overview
Imagine Book does not require an account and does not include advertising, behavioural analytics, cross-app tracking, or a developer-operated cloud database for user creations.
Most app information, including saved creations and page associations, is stored locally on the user’s device. AI generation requires transmitting selected drawing images to OpenAI as described below.
2. Information used by the app
The app may use:
- Images photographed with the camera
- Images intentionally selected from the photo library
- Generated artwork and 3D creation assets
- Selected visual style
- Book page identifier and creation metadata
- Camera imagery used for recognizing printed page anchors
The app does not ask users to provide their name, account credentials, address, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifier.
3. Camera and Photo Library
Camera access is used to recognize printed page anchors and capture drawings. Photo Library access is used only when a user chooses to import an existing image.
The user controls these permissions through iOS Settings.
Camera imagery used for live anchor recognition is processed through Apple’s augmented-reality frameworks for on-device tracking. The app is not designed to record or upload continuous camera video as a background capture stream.
4. AI processing and OpenAI
When the user intentionally taps the generation button, the selected drawing image is transmitted securely to the OpenAI API so that stylized artwork can be generated. Generated imagery may also be processed to create additional views required by the app’s 3D presentation.
The developer does not maintain a separate server or database containing these images.
OpenAI acts as a third-party service provider and processes submitted content according to its applicable terms, privacy policy, API data controls, and retention practices.
OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in. This policy does not claim that OpenAI never temporarily retains content; retention depends on OpenAI’s policies and the developer’s OpenAI account settings for the endpoints in use.

5. Local storage
Generated creations, associated page numbers, selected styles, and related assets are saved within the app’s local device storage.
This information remains until it is deleted through available app controls, removed by the operating system, or the app is uninstalled. Imagine Book does not currently provide account-based cloud synchronization or remote recovery.
6. Tracking, advertising, and analytics
Imagine Book does not include:
- Third-party advertising
- Cross-app tracking
- Behavioural advertising
- Advertising identifiers
- A developer-operated analytics service
- Sale of personal information
Apple may independently process App Store or platform analytics under Apple’s own policies. That processing is governed by Apple, not by a developer-operated analytics service inside Imagine Book.
7. Support communications
If a user contacts support, the developer receives the email address, message, and any information the user voluntarily includes. This information is used only to investigate and respond to the support request and meet applicable legal obligations.
Please do not submit sensitive information or private photographs in support messages unless you intentionally choose to share them for troubleshooting.
8. Children and family use
Imagine Book may be used by young artists under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or educator.
Users should avoid including names, faces, school information, addresses, or other identifying details in drawings or photographs submitted for generation.
This policy does not claim COPPA, GDPR-K, or children’s-privacy certification. Parents or guardians with privacy questions may contact play3dinc@gmail.com.
9. Data sharing
Information is shared only as needed to provide app functionality, including transmission to OpenAI for requested AI generation, or where legally required.
The developer does not sell user information.
10. Data retention and deletion
- Local app information remains on the device until removed or the app is uninstalled.
- OpenAI controls the retention of content it processes under its API policies and the developer’s OpenAI account settings.
- Support communications may be kept only as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and satisfy legal obligations.
- Users can prevent future AI transmission by not submitting another generation request.
- Users can revoke Camera or Photos access in iOS Settings.
- Users may contact play3dinc@gmail.com with privacy questions.
- Because there is no user account or developer database of saved creations, the developer generally cannot retrieve or remotely delete locally stored creations.
11. Security
Reasonable safeguards are used, including encrypted HTTPS transmission to service providers. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. International processing
OpenAI and its service providers may process information in jurisdictions outside the user’s home country, subject to their applicable policies and safeguards.
13. Policy changes
This policy may be updated when app functionality or legal requirements change. The current effective date is shown at the top of this page.
